CECAFA QUALIFIERS GROUPS CONFIRMED

CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers 2026 Draw Completed

The group-stage draw for the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers 2026 has officially been conducted, with the 10 clubs competing for the region's ticket to Africa's premier women's club competition divided into three groups.

Rayon Sports WFC (Rwanda)

Yei Joint Stars (South Sudan)

Mafunzo SC (Zanzibar)

Denden FC (Eritrea)

Group B

Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC (Ethiopia)

Kawempe Muslim Ladies (Uganda)

FC UJECO (Djibouti)

Group C

Simba Queens FC (Tanzania)

Kenya Police FC (Kenya)

Top Girls Academy (Burundi)

The tournament will be hosted in Rwanda from August 21 to 31, 2026. Teams will first compete in the group stage, after which the three group winners and the best second-placed team will qualify for the semi-finals.

Many football analysts believe Rayon Sports WFC has a strong chance of progressing beyond the group stage. However, the Rwandan champions will need to produce consistent performances if they are to achieve their goal of qualifying for the CAF Women's Champions League, having narrowly missed out after losing last year's final.
