CBE ARRIVES IN KIGALI

Commercial Bank of Ethiopia WFC has arrived in Kigali ready for the CAF Women’s Champions League 2026 CECAFA qualifiers

Commercial Bank of Ethiopia WFC (CBE) arrived in Kigali on the morning of 19 August 2026, ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League 2026 CECAFA qualifiers.

The Ethiopian side arrived in Rwanda with the ambition of making a strong start and fighting for a place at the next stage of the competition.

CBE has been placed in Group B, alongside Kawempe Muslim Ladies of Uganda and FC UJECO of Djibouti. The group is expected to produce fierce competition as all three teams look to collect crucial points and keep their hopes of progressing alive.

The CECAFA qualifiers will take place in Kigali from 21 to 31 August 2026, with teams battling for the opportunity to represent the region at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

For CBE, arriving in Kigali is only the beginning. The real battle will be decided on the pitch, where the Ethiopian side will have to prove its strength against Kawempe Muslim Ladies and FC UJECO.
