Simba Queens Beat Top Girls Academy 2–0

Simba Queens of Tanzania made a strong start to their CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers campaign, defeating Burundi’s Top Girls Academy 2–0 in their opening match.

After a competitive first half, Simba Queens stepped up their performance after the break. Aisha Mnunka opened the scoring in the 64th minute, giving the Tanzanian side the advantage.

Top Girls Academy tried to fight back, but Simba Queens remained in control. Musakanda doubled the lead in the 81st minute to seal a convincing 2–0 victory.

The result gives Simba Queens a positive start in their quest for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League, while Top Girls Academy will look to bounce back in their next matches.
