Rayon Sports Women Thrash Denden FC

Rayon Sports Women FC made an impressive start to the 2026 CECAFA Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, defeating Eritrea’s Denden FC 3–0 in a match played in Rwanda.

Rayon Sports started the game on the front foot, and their pressure paid off in the 17th minute when Ihirwe Regine opened the scoring.

Just one minute later, in the 18th minute, U. Jeannette doubled Rayon Sports’ lead with a second goal, giving the Rwandan side a comfortable 2–0 advantage at halftime.

Denden FC tried to fight back in the second half and search for a goal, but Rayon Sports Women remained in control and continued to look the more dangerous side.

In the 90+1st minute, Ishimwe Mizero put the result beyond doubt by scoring Rayon Sports’ third goal, sealing a convincing 3–0 victory.

The important win gives Rayon Sports Women a strong start to their campaign as they aim to go far in the competition and secure qualification for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
